Quarry operators must plan for environmental rehab after Perak amends policy


IPOH: The Perak government has amended its State Mineral Policy to ensure there is a balance between mining and rehabilitation activities.

Perak Mineral and Geoscience Department director Datuk Ahmad Zukni Ahmad Khalil (pic) said when quarry operators apply for mining permits, they will have to submit a rehabilitation scheme for the site with it.
