Fine weather expected for Year of the Ox

PETALING JAYA: Fine weather will greet the Year of the Ox in the morning.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia) director-general Jailan Simon, fair weather is expected nationwide on the morning of Feb 12 and 13.

In the afternoon, he said rain and thunderstorms in one or two areas are expected in Perak, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Sarawak (Bintulu, Miri, Kapit, and Limbang), Sabah (the interiors, the west coast, and Kudat) and in Labuan.

“At night, rain is expected in Kapit, Miri and Limbang in Sarawak, and in Kudat, Sandakan and Tawau in Sabah, ” he said in a statement.

He said rain and thunderstorms were expected in the interiors of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan in the afternoon and early evening.
