PM: 5,750 rice sacks a week to be distributed for free to B40 families in FT

PETALING JAYA: Free sacks of rice under the Urban Poverty Programme (5MY) will be distributed from Sunday (Jan 31), says Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

"The Federal Territories Ministry, via the Myberas@Wilayah programme, will be giving out 5,750 rice sacks a week for free to B40 families in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan from today," he said on Sunday (Jan 31) in conjunction with Federal Territory Day on Monday (Feb 1).

He urged that all follow procedures to prevent Covid-19 infection during collection.

"I remind everyone during the process of distribution to not forget the SOPs so that we can protect ourselves from Covid-19," he said.
