Cops raid nightclub with restaurant front in Kuala Selangor, 16 caught


KUALA SELANGOR: Sixteen people who were caught flouting movement control order rules at an entertainment outlet here also tested positive for drugs.

"At around 12.15am on Saturday (Jan 30), a team from Kuala Selangor police headquarters raided a premises that was being used as an entertainment outlet on Jalan Batang Berjuntai in Bestari Jaya.

"The front of the building was used by a restaurant.

"Thirty-nine people were detained, including nine Vietnamese women. Of those detained, 12 men and four women tested positive for drugs," said Kuala Selangor OCPD Supt Ramli Kasa in a statement on Sunday (Jan 31).

He added that all customers inside the premises were issued compounds.
