Fuel prices Jan 30 - Feb 5: Diesel down two sen to RM2.07 per litre, petrol unchanged

PETALING JAYA: Petrol prices will remain unchanged from Jan 30 to Feb 5, says the Finance Ministry.

The price of diesel, however, will be reduced by two sen from RM2.09 per litre to RM2.07 per litre.

The Ministry said that RON97 petrol would remain priced at RM2.20 per litre, while RON95 petrol will remain priced at RM1.90 per litre.

"The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people," the Ministry said in a statement Friday (Jan 29).

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was re-introduced on Jan 5,2019, under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).

Under this system, fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
