Kuching Water Board staff member tests positive for Covid-19

KUCHING: A customer service staff member of the Kuching Water Board (KWB) tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday (Jan 28).

In a statement, KWB said it would close its customer service and payment counter for two weeks from Jan 29 to Feb 12.

It said the affected staff member last entered the KWB premises at Jalan Batu Lintang here on Monday (Jan 25).

"The batch of colleagues identified as close contacts to the staff member have been advised to quarantine at home and undergo Covid-19 tests," it said.

KWB added that its entire premises would be sanitised on Thursday evening as a precautionary measure.

"Rest assured, we will strictly adhere to the standard operating procedures issued by the state disaster management committee.

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding," it said.
