Dr Wee extends Thaipusam greetings to all celebrating the festival


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has extended Thaipusam greetings to Hindus in the country.

The Transport Minister also called on everyone to follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) and rules stipulated by the National Security Council (NSC) and the Health Ministry.

“Although we are going through the movement control order due to the Covid-19 pandemic, every festival or special event is still a celebration under the new norm.

“Let’s adhere to the SOP set by the NSC and Health Ministry for everyone’s good.

“Happy celebrating Thaipusam to all Hindus in Malaysia, ” the MCA president said in a Facebook post Thursday (Jan 28).
