PETALING JAYA: The Crisis Relief Squad of MCA (CRSM) has pledged to support the government’s efforts to reach its Covid-19 vaccination target when the immunisation programme begins in March.

MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon (pic) said the party fully supported the target set by Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

The Covid-19 vaccination programme is targeting to immunise 75,000 people daily and employing over 10,000 people for the purpose.

Chong said as part of the ruling coalition, MCA had a duty to facilitate and execute the national plan.

“We will fully support the government’s implementation of the vaccination programme.

“Our Crisis Relief Squad will give its full assistance and liaise with the party’s networks throughout the country in order to help the government achieve its 75,000 daily vaccination target.

“Once the programme is rolled out, we hope the herd immunity can be achieved as soon as possible, ” he said in a statement.
