Covid-19: 16 detainees at Mantin lockup test positive


SEREMBAN: Sixteen detainees at the Mantin police lockup here have tested positive for Covid-19 after coming into close contact with a detainee brought in from the Sg Udang prison in Melaka.

Nilai OCPD Supt Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman said the 16 would be transferred to the Sg Buloh prison Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre in Selangor.

"Thirty-one policemen who came into close contact with the 16 have since undergone testing and are now under self-quarantine.

"All police stations in the Nilai district have also been sanitised and are operating as usual," he added.
