Cops arrest nine at massage centre in Johor


ISKANDAR PUTERI: Police have arrested nine people, including three foreign women during a raid at a massage centre in Taman Bukit Indah, here.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the suspects, consist of three men and six women, aged between 22 and 49, adding that they were apprehended during Ops Noda at about 3.30pm on Tuesday (Jan 26).

“Background checks revealed that the foreign women have been working without a permit and not having a valid travel document, ” he said in a statement here on Wednesday (Jan 27).

He added that the foreign nationals were from Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand, while the rest of the suspects were locals.

The case is investigated under Section 55B, Section 39 and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for employing illegal immigrants, violating the conditions on their visit pass and entering Malaysia without a valid pass or permit.
