KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has condemned party members who called for the resignation of party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Labelling them as members who disrespected the party’s constitution, he said no party member has the right to tell a constitutionally elected president to resign.
Any member eyeing for the top post should wait for the party polls to contest for it, he said on Wednesday (Jan 27).
“It doesn’t make sense to ask him (Zahid) to step down.
“I, thus support the (party) constitution and the rules involved, ” said the Sabah Deputy Chief Minister.
