GEORGE TOWN: The silver chariot could have made its annual trip from Penang Street to the Nattukotai Chettiar Temple with about 15 people and without any procession for Thaipusam if it received approval from the Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB).
Nattukotai Chettiar Temple trustee Dr A. Narayanan said a request for approval similar to the one given by the National Security Council (NSC) to the chariot for the trip to Batu Caves would have worked here if PHEB had given the green light.
