Four injured in four-vehicle pile-up on NSE

PETALING JAYA: A late night accident led to a four-vehicle pile-up along the North South Expressway that saw four people injured.

"The accident occured at around 11.30pm Sunday (Jan 24), along KM401 of the expressway. It involved two lorries, a van and a trailer," Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Arsad Kamaruddin in a statement Monday (Jan 25).

He said that the accident occured after one of the two lorries tried to overtake the trailer.

However, a van that was behind them failed to react in time, leading to the collisions.

"All four drivers were injured and have been sent to the Slim River hospital. The case is still under investigation.

"Road conditions at the time were good with dry roads and no rain," he said.
