KUALA LUMPUR: Three men and a woman have been arrested in two raids on condominium units in Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park here, believed to be online gambling centres.
Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said the raids were conducted at around 5pm on Tuesday (Jan 19).
"In the first raid, we arrested two male China nationals aged 30 and 34 and seized two laptops two modems, 19 mobile phones and RM55,000 in cash.
"An hour later we arrested an Indonesian man and woman aged 22 and 20 and seized one computer, one modem, one access caed and two mobile phones," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 20).
He said investigations revealed the suspects were believed to be involved in online gambling activities.
"All of the suspects have been detained under the Immigration Act 1959/63.
"We are investigating the case under Section 4(1)(c) of The Common Gaming House Act and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act," he said.
