Woman suffers light injuries after falling from apartment block in Selayang

GOMBAK: A 26-year-old woman suffered light injuries after she fell onto the awnings of two lower units of her apartment block in Selayang Heights.

The victim, who is said to have relationship problems, was initially found by her parents on the awning of the second floor.

Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said the couple had at around 4.30am on Tuesday (Jan 19) realised their daughter missing from her room.

"When they found her on the the second floor's awning, the woman said she wanted to speak to her boyfriend.

“The police and firefighters came to help and tried to bring her down, but she jumped to the awning on the first floor, ” ACP Arifai said in a statement.

After finally bringing her to safety, medical checks showed that she suffered light injuries.

“The cause of the incident is believed to be relationship problems with her boyfriend a few weeks ago, ” he said.
