Seremban 2 court complex to be sanitised after 16 detainees contract Covid-19

SEREMBAN: The Seremban 2 court complex here will be disinfected after 16 Sosma detainees brought here tested positive for Covid-19 after being taken back to their detention centre.

State health committee chairman S. Veerapan said 22 detainees were taken to the court complex on Jan 7 and 8 and made to undergo tests upon their return to their detention centre.

"I have been told that apart from the 16 detainees, some court officials also tested positive today.

"I have asked the relevant authorities to sanitise the court complex for the safety of all concerned," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Jan 19).

He did not say how long the court complex will be closed or if the entire complex will be closed for disinfection work.

Veerapan appealed to the public to strictly adhere to the standard operating procedure (SOP) to stem the spread of Covid-19.
