KOTA KINABALU: Sabah government announced on Saturday (Jan 16) the decision to roll out Bantuan Prihatin Covid-19 2.0 to help Sabahans impacted by the movement control order.
"The state government is allotting RM97.4mil for the one-off assistance to 324,661 recipients from e-Kasih list, B40 group, orphans, senior citizens, the disabled and single mothers.
"Also qualified for the aid are farmers, fishermen, breeders, tour guides, mountain guides, porters, artists, taxi, bus and lorry drivers as well as stall operators.
"Meanwhile, National Disaster Management Agency's (Nadma) allocation of RM31.58mil for food basket expenses are for those impacted by home quarantine orders and at localities under enhanced MCO," added Hajiji.
Sabah is among the states where MCO has been enforced from Jan 13 to 26.
