PETALING JAYA: The details of the tighter MCO announced by the Prime Minister yesterday will only be revealed today, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Ismail said he will be issuing the general standard operating procedures (SOP) while the Education Ministry, International Trade and Industry Ministry and the Works Ministry will be listing their SOP today as well.

The announcements, said Ismail in a statement, will be made at 5pm.

He said the Compliance Task Force conducted 41,801 inspections at supermarkets, restaurants, stalls, factories, banks and government departments as well as transport terminals on Sunday.

“A total of 572 people were arrested for not complying with the MCO, of which 571 were given compounds while one was remanded.

“Most of the offences were for not wearing face masks and partaking in entertainment centre activities, ” he said.

Sanitation operations were also carried out at red, yellow and green zones in 10 states and the Federal Territory, he added.

Most of the operations were in Johor.

“As of Sunday, the Human Resources Ministry has been informed that 131,140 migrant workers have undergone screening tests, with 783 clinics involved, ” said Ismail.
