Body of elderly woman found in Sg Rek, Kuala Krai

KUALA KRAI (Bernama): The body of an elderly woman was found stuck among palm stems in Sungai Rek near a chalet in Laloh here on Friday (Jan 8) at about 10.05am after she was reported missing since last Saturday (Jan 2).

Kuala Krai district police chief Supt Suzaimi Mohammad said the body, identified as Maeyoh Beeru, 59, a Thai national, was found floating in the river by members of the public.
