PETALING JAYA: The transponder code used by a United States aircraft that allegedly impersonated a Malaysian plane when accused of spying on China’s military bases last September was not Malaysian-registered, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Transport Minister said the investigation carried out by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) revealed that the transponder code implicated in the alleged incident was not registered to a Malaysian plane.
