Four foreigners nabbed in connection with murder of Rohingya man


JOHOR BARU: Police have arrested four foreigners, including a woman, following the death of a Rohingya man in Kulai.

Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said that the four Myanmar nationals, aged 20 to 45 years old, were arrested at about 11pm on Tuesday (Jan 5).

"We received a report at 9.14pm about a Rohingya man who was stabbed to death at Taman Tan Yong Fong.

"Based on an initial investigation, we were able to arrest the suspects in two separate raids around the Kulai within three hours," he said in a statement here on Wednesday (Jan 6).

He added that police have also seized items believed to have been used by the suspects during the incident, including a knife, a set of clothes, a belt and two mobile phones.

"The suspects will be remanded for six days starting from Wednesday to assist in the investigation," he said.
