Ella Chen not spending Chinese New Year in Melaka

TAIWANESE singer Ella Chen Chia-hwa, who is married to Malaysian businessman Alvin Lai, will not be returning to Melaka to celebrate Chinese New Year next month due to the pandemic, China Press reported. The 39-year-old singer had spent nearly every Chinese New Year at her husband’s hometown since they tied the knot in 2012 but opted not to return this year due to travel restrictions.

Instead, Chen, Lai and their three-year-old son will be spending it with her parents at their hometown in Taiwan’s Pingtung county.
