Dr Wee, Melaka Yang di-Pertua discuss transport industry matters

PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong paid a visit to Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Mohd Ali Rustam and discussed matters related to the transport industry.

Dr Wee said his visit to the former deputy transport minister took place after launching a groundbreaking ceremony of the JPJ Academy Driving Test and Training Circuit in Melaka on Tuesday (Jan 5) morning.

“When he was the deputy transport minister from 1995 to 1998, Tun was instrumental in bringing the JPJ Academy project to Tiang Dua, and the land reclamation only took three months.

“Thank you Tun for your service and contribution,” he said in a Facebook post.

Dr Wee added that he and Mohd Ali had also discussed various issues pertaining to the transport industry.

“We discussed matters related to the development of the land transport industry, logistics industry, maritime activities in Melaka, as well as current affairs concerning the rakyat’s welfare,” he said.
