Police report lodged against Zeti over RPK claims

PETALING JAYA: Umno Youth has lodged a police report over purported claims of Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz's involvement in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) scandal.

Umno Youth executive committee member Shahrul Nasrun Kamaruddin, who lodged the police report at the Dang Wangi Police headquarters, said the allegations were serious.

The claims were posted by fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin on his Malaysia Today blog.

“I hope the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) and police would prioritise this matter and probe all claims made," said Shahrul.

When contacted, Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Zainal Abdullah confirmed receiving the report.

Zeti could not be reached for comment by The Star.
