KOTA KINABALU: A total of 423 new telecommunication towers will be built and another 2,221 existing transmitters upgraded to 4G in Sabah under the first phase of the National Digital Network plan (Jendela).
State Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Yakubah Khan said this was among the initiatives to be carried out in phases to improve connectivity in Sabah from this year until 2022.
“The improvements are in line with the ministry’s plan to make telecommunication services as one of the public utilities after water and electricity.
