SEREMBAN (Bernama): Former Kota assemblyman Datuk Dahalan Aman has died at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Seremban (HTJS) here after suffering a brain haemorrhage and a stroke. He was 91.
His death was confirmed by Negri Sembilan Umno liaison committee member Datuk Seri Dr Awaludin Said, who is also the current Kota assemblyman.
"Allahyarham suffered bleeding in the brain and a stroke after falling down at home (last) Friday (Dec 18) before he was admitted to HTJS.
"The funeral prayers will be at his home in Kampung Bongek, Rembau and the burial will be held at the Kampung Bongek Muslim Cemetery after the midday prayers," he said when contacted by Bernama on Wednesday (Dec 23).
Dahalan, who joined Umno in the 1950s, was the assemblyman for the state seat for three terms from 1969 to 1982, apart from holding the post of Negri Sembilan Selatan Umno deputy chief in the 1970s.
He leaves behind seven children aged 53 to 62 years. – Bernama
