MERSING: After being forced to share government quarters with another family for almost a year, Maths teacher Shaiful Rizal Zain can finally heave a sigh of relief as new quarters for his family is expected to be completed next month.
The plight of the 31-year-old teacher from SK Peta in Kampung Peta near the Endau-Rompin National Park here reached the ear of Johor education, information, heritage and culture committee chairman Mazlan Bujang, who visited the school in October.
The visit led to a push for the construction of new quarters.
