Ultraman artist dies of cerebral haemorrhage


A JAPANESE manga artist, who is best known for his work on the Ultraman comic book series, died of cerebral haemorrhage, reported Sin Chew Daily. According to an obituary published by the Japan Cartoonists Association, Ichimine Sophomore died on Nov 27 at the age of 84.

In his 40-year career, Ichimine worked on several major series, including Ultraman and Lupin III. Ichimine is a pen name.
