Ismail Sabri: CMCO to end in Kinta district on Dec 14 except for Ipoh, Chemor

PETALING JAYA: The conditional movement control order (MCO) in the Kinta district of Perak will end on Dec 14, except for Ipoh and Chemor in the Hulu Kinta district.

In his daily Covid-19 statement, Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the enhanced MCO in Zon A Taman Klebang Jaya and Taman Pinji Mewah has also ended.

"Acting under the advice of the Health Ministry, the government has agreed to end the enhanced MCO in those areas on Dec 14 as scheduled, except for the Yamaha factory worker's hostel, which will continue under the EMCO until Dec 21.

"The CMCO in Kinta will also end on Dec 14. However, the CMCO in Ipoh and Chemor under the Hulu Kinta district will continue until Dec 20," he said.

The EMCO in Kampung Numbak and Penempatan Telipok in Kota Kinabalu will end on Sunday (Dec 13), he added.

On current the Ops Benteng statistics, the minister said that 104 illegal immigrants were arrested on Dec 12.

The police have also issued compounds to 587 people, with 67 remanded and one given bail.
