IPOH: Several NGOs in Perak have expressed their disappointment over the state's political crisis.

Representing the NGOs Mohd Ariff Azala questioned on the crisis that is playing a big impact in the state.

"Why do they (politicians) have to play politics in the middle of this Covid-19 pandemic that is affecting the public?

"Our previous government was doing well. The successful administration was part of the collaboration between Umno and Perikatan Nasional.

"Instead of chasing for titles and power, they should have a focus on the public.

"We hope for Sultan Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah to help solve the ongoing political crisis," he said at Istana Kinta on Wednesday (Dec 9).

On Dec 4, Datuk Ahmad Faizal Azumu tendered his resignation as Perak Mentri Besar after losing majority in the confidence motion at the state assembly sitting.

On Tuesday (Dec 8) Members of Dewan Negara Perak (Advisor council to the Ruler) Datuk Seri Mohamad Annuar Zaini said no parties have confirmed any majority of support to Sultan Nazrin.
