KOTA KINABALU: The new Sabah government is formulating a five-year development strategy for the state, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
The Chief Minister said the new plan is dubbed “Sabah Maju Jaya” and will outline a “realistic and comprehensive” approach for the state.
Hajiji chaired a meeting on Monday (Dec 7) about the draft for the strategic plan that will revive the state’s economy and also promote socio-economic welfare for the people.
He said the development plan would be launched soon after views and inputs from key stakeholders through various engagements were obtained.
A statement from the Chief Minister’s Department said that among those present at the meeting were state secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong, Sabah Public Service Department (JPAN) director-general Datuk Rosmadi Sulai and all permanent secretaries to the state ministries.
The fresh development plan for Sabah comes with the new state government led by Hajiji who won the Sept 26 state elections.
Hajiji, who leads the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition, took over from the previous state government led by the Warisan Plus coalition.
