Don't retaliate, Ahmad Faizal tells Bersatu

IPOH: Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (pic) has urged Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia party members not to resort to any retaliation after his vote of confidence lost in the Perak state assembly.

The Bersatu deputy president said this when asked on Kempas assemblyman Datuk Osman Sapian’s statement that party members could launch a retaliation against the Umno mentri besar in Johor.

“Don’t take revenge in politics, I am sure there is a way to solve issues.

“However such is the reaction we get when matters are carried out without proper negotiations, just like what happened in the Perak state assembly, ” he told reporters after announcing his resignation as the Perak Mentri Besar.

Faizal said he was accused of not consulting when he appointed Umno’s Datuk Aznel Ibrahim as his political secretary, and now he was rejected as the Mentri Besar by his own component party members.

“I hope such motion will not be carried out in other states, or even at the federal level, ” he added.
