PETALING JAYA: The reimposition of the cabotage ruling by the Transport Ministry is a step in the right direction when it comes to nudging Malaysia towards a stronger position in maintaining the network of subsea data cables in its territorial waters, says an industry player.
Optic Marine Services Sdn Bhd said it is now ready to boost the country’s prowess when it comes to doing maintenance work on subsea data cables, which are all owned by various large consortia.
