GEORGE TOWN: The police here are expected to record the statement of the driver of a car involved in the Island Park accident, where a woman was pinned beneath a car and killed.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Soffian Santong said the driver is a 71-year-woman and is currently warded at the Penang Hospital for treatment.
"At the moment the woman is still being treated; we will wait until she is discharged from hospital," he said when contacted.
Kim Hui Ping, 49, died on the spot after she was rammed by a car before crashing through a retaining wall and being crushed after the vehicle plunged 6m onto the road below the condominium.
Both of the women were residents of the condominium.
