ISKANDAR PUTERI: Several assemblymen from both sides of the divide shared witty exchanges with the word "katak" (frog) during the Johor state assembly here.
Datuk Zulkurnain Kamisan (BN-Sri Medan) was asking a question to state Housing And Local Government Committee chairman Ayub Jamil about illegal factories, where he used the example of a frog breeding factory.
Ayub (BN-Renggit) then replied, “What kind of frog do you mean? You didn’t say clearly what kind of frog, ” he said.
Zulkurnain then answered, “The frog I was referring to is an amphibian, ” he said.
Jimmy Puah Wee Tse (PH-Bukit Batu) then turned on his microphone and asked “Bukan katak politik ya? (Not political frogs?), ” he said.
Puah’s remarks drew laughter from the floor, including chuckles from state Speaker Suhaizan Kaiat.
