PETALING JAYA: Police detained 577 people on Friday (Nov 27) for failing to adhere to the MCO standard operating procedures (SOPs).
"Of that 522 were issued compounds while 55 have been remanded.
"Among the offences recorded were for failure to practice social distancing (215) and for activities at entertainment outlets (116)," said Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in a press statement on Saturday (Nov 28).
On the ongoing enforcements against the entry of undocumented migrants, Ops Benteng, statistics recorded 49 undocumented foreigners arrested.
Regarding sanitation and disinfection efforts, the Defence Minister said that 38 operations were conducted on Nov 27.
"This involved 16 red zones, six orange zones, seven yellow zones and two green zones from 12 states," he said.
He also advised all to maintain social distancing and cleanliness, especially when out buying daily necessities.
