IPOH: The Perak government will allocate RM2.95mil for the flood relief aid through all 59 service centres in the state, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (pic).
The Perak Mentri Besar said the state government is aware of the troubles the people affected were going through due to floods and the conditional and enhanced MCO in several areas.
“Therefore, the state government will channel RM50,000 to each of the service centres in the state so that aid can be distributed to the targeted groups at the respective areas.
“The 59 service centres include the 24 centres that the opposition holds, ” he said in a press statement here on Saturday (Nov 28).
Faizal said the allocation is a sign of concern of the state government for all targeted groups that needed assistance.
He said the aid would help them relieve their burden in these challenging times.
“For the record, before this the state government had allocated aid amounting RM80,000 to all the 59 centres throughout the MCO in March until May.
“The administration hopes that each service centre will follow the Standard Operating Procedure fixed by the National Safety Council and the Health Ministry when distributing aid to stop the spread of Covid-19, ” he said.
