Bangladeshi man wanted by police in fighting case


JOHOR BARU: Police are on the hunt for a Bangladeshi man in his 30s to help investigation regarding a recent fighting case at Jalan Tebrau here.

Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain said that the fight occurred at 11.35pm on Friday, (Nov 27) involving a 39-year-old local man.

“The victim suffered multiple injuries on his head, arms and legs and is currently being treated at Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA).

“According to an eyewitness, the victim was beaten using a blunt metal object, and the victim is not acquainted with the suspect, ” he said in a statement here on Saturday (Nov 28).

He added that the case is investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons.

He also urged members of the public who have information on the matter to call the nearest police station or the Johor Baru South hotline at 07-2182323.
