SEREMBAN: Now that Budget 2021 has been passed by the Dewan Rakyat, the Perikatan Nasional government should work on executing it and ensure there is no wastage, bureaucracy or misplaced priorities in its implementation, says Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
The Umno deputy president said there was a pressing need to look into the people's well-being during this difficult period and expressed hope that Budget 2021 would address it.
"In these difficult times, the welfare of the people, saving businesses and developing a resilient economy must be made top priorities and handled with utmost urgency," he said in a statement Thursday (Nov 26).
Mohamad said Members of Parliament must also continue to play a check-and-balance role to help ensure the Budget is implemented as soon as possible.
Earlier in Parliament on Thursday, Budget 2021 was passed by a simple voice vote.
