Man slashed by two assailants in Teluk Intan

IPOH: A 46-year-old man was slashed with a parang at a mini mart at Jalan Kampung Banjar, Teluk Intan by two unknown assailants.

Hilir Perak OCPD ACP Kamarudin Mat Salleh said the incident happened on Wednesday (Nov 25) at about 8.30am.

He said police received a call from the public over the incident.

“The victim, a lorry operator, was rushed to the hospital, and he is in stable condition.

“Two suspects, wearing full face-masks, attacked the victim using a parang before getting away in a car.

“The registration number of the car was a fake one, ” he said.

ACP Kamarudin said the video of the incident had been made viral, and the case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code.

“We are gathering all information on the case, and efforts are being made to track the two suspects involved, ” he added.
