Elderly man killed by falling tree in Perak

IPOH: A senior citizen died when a tree fell on him while he was riding a motorcycle at Kampung Bakar Bata, Ayer Tawar near Sitiawan.

The 69-year-old man died in the 7.20am incident on Wednesday (Nov 25) as he was sandwiched between the oil palm tree and the motorcycle.

The man was pronounced dead by a medical team at the site.

Firemen from the Ayer Tawar fire station had to cut the tree into small pieces before the body could be retrieved.
