PETALING JAYA: The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) received 1,154 complaints from the public last year, with many of them relating to issues of statelessness in Sabah.
The commission decided that 371 of the complaints received were beyond its jurisdiction, while 222 of the 783 complaints it investigated were completed, while the rest are still being investigated.
