MUAR: Several areas here have been hit by flash floods after more than two hours of heavy rain.

According to the Muar Civil Defence Force (APM) district disaster management committee secretariat, five houses in Kampung Parit Othman Kiri have been affected by the flood, with water entering homes.

“Relevant agencies are monitoring the situation in the district, especially in high-risk areas.

“At the moment, the flood situation in the district is still under control and no temporary flood shelters have been opened,” it said in a statement on Saturday (Nov 21).

The Muar APM also urged the public to reach out to them if they are affected by floods.
