Solid bust: RM2mil worth of vape liquid seized in Pasir Mas

KOTA BARU (Bernama): The 8th Battalion of the General Operations Force seized vape liquid worth almost RM2mil near Rantau Panjang, Pasir Mas on Tuesday (Nov 17).

Its commanding officer Supt Muhammad Samsuddin said a team was on Op Benteng patrol when they spotted a lorry being driven in a suspicious manner in front of a supermarket at about 6pm.

He said upon inspection 50 brown boxes containing 28,100 bottles of nicotine-laced vape liquid were found, suspected to be smuggled to neighbouring countries.

“The boxes were also hidden under vegetables to deceive the authorities, ” he said when contacted today (Nov 18).

Muhammad said a man in his 30s, the lorry driver, was detained after he failed to present any documents on the items.

The seized items were handed over to the Pharmacy Enforcement Branch of the Kelantan Health Department for further action and the case is being investigated under Section 13(a) of the Poison Act 1952, he said. – Bernama
