KUALA LUMPUR: Dewan Rakyat has declared the Gerik parliamentary seat vacant, paving the way for a by-election in Perak.

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun gave notice of the vacancy of the seat held by Datuk Hasbullah Osman who passed away in Raub on Monday (Nov 16).
