Tapir killed by vehicle in Kuala Krai


KOTA BARU (Bernama): A male tapir was found dead at Kampung Sri 10, Sungai Durian-Chenulang, Kuala Krai on Saturday (Nov 14) night, after it was believed to have been hit by a vehicle.

Kelantan Department of Wildlife and National Parks director Ady Ermanty Haniff Mohamed Hanif said the carcass of the tapir, estimated to be between 25 and 35 years old and weighing some 150 kg, was found by passers-by at about 10 pm.
