PETALING JAYA: Arresting and prosecuting teenagers who engaged in consensual, non-penetrative sexual activity goes against the spirit of the law and is a waste of public resources, says the CRIB Foundation (Child Rights Innovation & Betterment).
The non-governmental organisation claimed that recent action taken against two teenagers in Sibu was contrary to the intention and spirit of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 (SOAC).
