Three detained after woman lodges rape report

KLANG: The police arrested three men on suspicion of raping a 21-year-old woman, says North Klang OCPD Asst Comm Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh.

She said that one of the three arrested was the woman's ex-boyfriend, adding that he had brought the victim to a rented house where his friends were waiting.

"We believe the ex-boyfriend raped the victim, and she was also forced to have unnatural sex with his friend, ” said ACP Nurulhuda.

She also said the victim's ex-boyfriend had initially threatened to release a video of them engaged in sex if she did not follow him to the house at about 8pm on Oct 30.

"Both men threatened to harm the victim and shamed her if she did not go along with their demands," she said when contacted on Tuesday (Nov 3).

ACP Nurulhuda added that the victim was also physcially assaulted by the two men.

She lodged a police report after the ordeal.

Following an initial investigation, ACP Nurulhuda said a team of police personnel from the CID Serious Crime Division (D9) arrested the suspects on Monday (Nov 2), adding that one was 22 year old while the other two were 20.

"Two main suspects have been remanded for seven days while another man who was also at the rented house was remanded for three days to assist the investigation. One of the suspect has a record for motorcycle theft," she added.
