Alvin Goh to be detained under Prevention of Crime Act

KUALA LUMPUR: The police will detain fugitive Goh Leong Yeong, also known as Alvin Goh, under the Prevention of Crime Act (Poca).

"We will arrest him today (Oct 30) under Poca and obtain the remand order tomorrow," said City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Nik Ros Azhan when contacted on Friday (Oct 30).

Goh's original remand order expired today.

On Oct 27, Goh was arrested along with a foreign woman, believed to be his girlfriend.

A manhunt was launched for Goh after he fled the MACC headquarters on Oct 11.

The police are investigating him for his suspected involvement in money laundering, Macau scams that targeted people overseas and online gambling.
