Johor JPJ issues 58 notices against traffic offenders


BATU PAHAT: The Johor Road Transport Department (JPJ) has issued 58 notices to motorists for various offences in an operation conducted here.

The operation was carried out at KM12 Jalan Kluang-Batu Pahat on Wednesday (Oct 28), according to a statement posted on the official Johor JPJ Facebook page.

It said among the notices issued were for driving without a driver’s licence or expired licence and other technical issues such as car registration plates and tinted car windows that went against the regulations.

The notices were issued under the Road Transport Act 1987, Land Public Transport Act 2010 and Motor Vehicles Procedure 1992.

“JPJ will continue to carry out enforcement to ensure that road users abide by the law and road rules for their own safety as well as the safety of other road users.

“We are constantly monitoring the road safety situation in the state,” the statement read.
